It is time to listen

I want to write a new chapter in Allston-Brighton history where the people of the neighborhood are in the driver’s seat. There are activists and community members who have been engaged in improving Allston-Brighton for many decades and I want to work to amplify the conversations and voices of those who have been working hard to improve the neighborhood—while also working to bring in fresh ideas.

Together, we can usher in a new era where neighbors develop neighborhoods; where we work together to work towards ensuring that developers who choose to break ground here are leaving Allston-Brighton a better place for future generations; where our transportation infrastructure reflects the diverse needs and lifestyles of our residents; where our schools are properly equipped to provide all of our students with a quality education. As Allston-Brighton continues through this transitionary period of rapid development we need to collaborate as a neighborhood to promote the best interests of our residents.
