BOSTON, MA – Brandon Bowser, candidate for Boston City Council in District 9, today welcomed the endorsement of the Boston Teachers Union.

“I’m very excited to have the support of 10,000+ teachers, support staff, and retirees representing 50,000+ students,” said Bowser. “I look forward to fighting for the students and families of Boston. We must push for funding that allows for proper technology in the classroom, arts education, and 21st century curriculum that includes coding, engineering, and robust science and math.”

“The BTU has endorsed Brandon Bowser for Boston City Council, District 9,” said Jessica Tang, President of the Boston Teachers Union. “As a BTU member and teacher in the Boston Public Schools, he knows first-hand the issues facing our youth and our communities. We know that he will continue to fight for students, educators and for strong public education as a City Councilor.”
