Brandon Bowser announces 2019 City Council Campaign
Family, friends, local media members, and neighbors,
Right now, the future of Allston-Brighton is uncertain. It is time for new leadership willing and ready to meet today’s challenges with forward-thinking solutions.
With that in mind, I am now announcing my candidacy for Boston City Council representing District 9.
I believe we have an incredible opportunity to build a campaign that bridges the past, present, and future of Allston-Brighton. Our campaign will build coalitions across neighborhood lines to advocate for equitable workforce housing, developing homes that we can all afford, and multi-modal transit solutions that fit every budget and lifestyle.
Together, we will build a community where neighbors develop neighborhoods. We will fight for transportation infrastructure that reflects the diverse needs and lifestyles of our residents. We will stand by our students, teachers, and Boston Public Schools to ensure that they are properly equipped to provide each and every student with a quality education.
I will work with renters. I will work with homeowners. I will work with service workers, tradespeople, lifelong residents, artists, students of all ages, and anyone who wants to be part of this community.
I can’t do this alone. We need to work together. If you believe in a bright future for Allston-Brighton, please join us.
